I represent Cerrado Coffee here in USA and I am part of the SCAA-IRC Commiittee as well.
About My Company:
Cerrado Mineiro region is the first demarcated region solely for coffee in Brazil, by a decree of the Minas Gerais Government, since April 1995. It encloses 55 counties, located in the Alto Paranaíba, Triângulo Mineiro and Noroeste de Minas, presenting an uniform soil and weather standard and making possible the production of coffees of high quality. Areas with altitudes varying between 800 to 1.300 meters are recommended to the coffee production, they can support irrigation for the reason of the rains. The varieties must be of the Arabica species. CERRADO MINEIRO: the first Geographic Denomination for Coffee. Demarcated region of Cerrado Mineiro in numbers 55 cities 3.500 coffee producers 4.500 estates 155.000 hectares of coffee Average Production: 3.500.000 (bags of 60kg, 1kg = 2.20 pounds) Average Temperature: 68.4F to 73.4FC Altitude of Production: from 800 to 1.300 meters above of the level of the ocean.
