Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Want to open a coffee shop. Trying to learn as much lingo and insider knowledge as possible before choosing location and equipment....POS, commercial grade grinders, espresso machines, suppliers etc. This is my first step toward retirement and ownership. Admire baristas, never been one.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Easier to say what one's I'm NOT interested in: no middle east, no North Korea, no Africa, China or India. Have already traveled quite a bit and now prefer my creature comforts. If I can have that, I will travel anywhere.
About Me:
Married. Both of us desire to retire soon and start up our own business. I am in Horticulture. My spouse is in IT. Lattes are our addiction; sailing, scuba, veggie gardening and traveling are our pleasures. Keeping busy and interacting with all sorts of people is our entertainment.
About My Company:
No company name as yet. Would even like to learn if there are any tricks to naming a shop to draw customers in, or at least not repel them. For now I call it MACWSD. Ideally, would like shop with front drive through + walk in for fast customer service and back room opening to small garden with tables and slow, true european style service.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The constant shuffling through of humanity, the energy, the TASTE and TEXTURE!
