I have worked in five different cafes. I've never worked in a automated cafe. Everything I make is by hand, fair trade, etc. I'm quick and an expert at steaming milk. I can do a bit of latte art and it's something I want to perfect as well. I'm well versed in all things toddy as well, as well. :)
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Seattle. Portland. Chicago. Austin. Los Angeles. Denver. In that order! (pretty much anywhere) ...Outside of the U.S., I would love to go anywhere in France or Spain. I speak Spanish quite proficiently.
About Me:
I have been in love with the history, process and design of all things coffee for years and years. I get up every day loving my job as a barista. The culture is beautiful and I'll never leave it!
About My Company:
Right now I'm a barista / assistant manager at one of my favorite cafes - The Paramount Cafe in Cheyenne, WY. Now I know you are thinking "Wow, really? A good cafe in Wyoming?" - Well, hey now we are doing quite well. I have been with the company since the beginning (two years ago). We started as a tiny little cafe that served Boyd's coffee in a western themed space to a local music venue (every weekend) that serves only the best locally roasted coffee (Jackie's Java.. fair/direct trade). We love what we've done here in downtown Cheyenne and we hope to expand our knowledge to anywhere!
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The coffee.... der. OH, I mean the people ;)
