Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I got my start working in Vancoucer, BC at Cafe Artigiano. I had no previous experience and was fortunate enough to be trained by someone who had been in the industry for many years. My company was previously owned by 49th Parallel and I was able to develop a relationship with their company. I've since moved to Santa Monica, CA and work for Espresso Cielo on Main St. My employment and relationship to 49th Parallel aided in continuing my career. We serve 49th Parallel exclusively at the cafe and it's been an amazing opportunity to have access to the immense amount of feedback and support 49th Parallel affords us. I am a full time barista/coffee nerd.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
I would love to become a citizen of the world. There are so many amazing and wonderful places/cultures around and I'd be doing any one of them a disservice by limiting where I'd like to visit.
About Me:
I'm 27 years old and am originally from Brooklyn, NY. I went to college for business management and performing arts. Who knew that they would be so closely related. :). I've been a graphic designer for many years and hope to be able to further that aspect of my career in the future. I've been in the service industry for 10 years collectively including restaurants, cafes, deli's and coffee shops. Coffee has become a passion of my in recent years and I had no idea how deep the rabbit hole went. Opening a cafe of my very own is certainly not out of the realm of possibility and for now, having a foot in the door to this wonderful community is a first step.

The name of my cafe is Espresso Cielo. We're located in Santa Monica, CA. Our address is 3101 Main St. We serve 49th Parallel exclusively and are always showcasing different single origins as they become available. What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The craft. It's so much more then a push button industry. It's a true art to produce a quality product consistently. Espresso is sort of like a snowflake, each is a little bit different.
