Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I train/teach new students every quarter on making espresso & general cafe tasks, help with brewing workshops, and try to make things as streamlined and educational as possible. I've recently been working on developing a better training program for our new staff. I am the head barista at my cafe, and the only full time barista. The other people I work with are students.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
The Philippines (I'm half filipinx), Norway, Seoul, Japan, LA, & Beijing.
About Me:
A nerdy, geeky person who loves making coffee. I love video games, documentaries, reading, photography, and researching. I'm always trying to better myself and also enjoy sharing the knowledge I gain with the people around me.
About My Company:
I work for a program at the university of washington where we try to bring specialty coffee to a college setting. We aim to educate students, staff, and the community on specialty coffee. We have brewing workshops, and we held our first coffee seminar class for 200 people.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The camaraderie.
