Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

I work for a small local chain called Durango Joe's. Joe the owner is one of the most impressive small business owners i've ever met. He went to school in Oregon where he met his wife. Also where he discovered his taste for espresso. He has brought the Northwest coffee house to the small areas of SW Colorado and NW New Mexico. He knows most of our coffee growers by name. Back to myself for a minute. I have been behind the counter for a short period of time but I have become known as one the most inventive baristas in the area. I try to make every cup a work of art (don't we all) and am told often that I succeed. I don't always agree.

What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

shorter list, I don't want to go to L.A.

About Me:

I am a displaced Portland, OR native. I cut my coffee teeth on Motor Mocha better known as Coffee People. I have an intense passion for they myriads of flavors possible with coffee.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

The wonderful sense of community within the walls of each shop.
