Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I work in a very high volume coffeeshop serving Crimson Cup coffees. I'm proficient with latte art and regularly train our new baristas. I have a solid understanding of shot quality criteria and milk steaming techniques. I love working with customers, especially ones who don't know what they want! Solving the puzzle of a person's true coffee desire successfully makes me feel pretty good.

About Me:
I'm a college student majoring in both management and philosophy. I have worked in coffeehouses since high school and have nearly five years of experience. I'm outgoing and love people, which helps with my fascination with company culture. I also, of course, love coffee.
About My Company:
I split my time between two shops: Coffee Chaos, in Midland, Michigan; and Dillenbeck's Coffeehouse in Grand Rapids. Both shops are relatively new, though Chaos has nearly entirely come into its own. Dillenbeck's has gone through an ownership change recently, and I was brought on to improve quality and culture. Both shops have great coffee, but both have opportunities for improvement, something I stride for.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
That coffeehouses are one of the few places left where people meet just to meet, enjoy themselves and each other, and a cup of coffee
