Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Having been a long time, and SCAA certified Barista, at one of the best coffee shops in in the Southeast (Caffe Driade in Chapel Hill, NC) I've retired that position to pursue a PhD in Communication where I now currently work on issues surrounding the food economy and the political economy of media (but I still miss being a barista and the comradership that comes with it).

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
There is a sector in the industry that really cares about sustainablity and worker rights but needs more support and continued solidarity
