Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I started learning latte art in 2007, but then took a non-bar (very sad) position in the company. I am making plans to continue my latte art education at home this summer.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Any that would involve learning more about the farming process and the people behind the cups of coffee I drink every day. I think the first place I'd love to go is Peru, then Indonesia.
About Me:
My first experience with espresso was via a Mr. Coffee home model. I loved foaming the milk and then passing the drinks off to my parents. During college I really learned how to make drinks while working at a local cafe. I obviously still love coffee and learning anything I can, which isn't hard since changes or new research and products are developing constantly in this industry.
About My Company:
In 2008 we roasted over 900,000 pounds of green beans. We have a line of more than 50 flavored coffees, ranging from Amaretto to Windmill Cookie, all available in decaf. Our master roaster has won numerous awards and consistently creates awesome single origins and blends from around the world.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
I love the community. We're all here because we love some aspect of coffee, and we're naturals at wanting to spread the love!
