What is your position in the coffee industry?

    barista

Where are you located? ( City and Country )

    Buffalo United States

How many years have you been in the industry?

    6 Years

If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?

    yes

Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

I work in a medium-high volume shop in Buffalo New York. I am the in house enthusiast in our shop. You can find me every Saturday morning working the bar. I am the girl that gets on peoples cases and is a stickler for cleanliness. The cafe doesn't foster coffee appreciation like some other shops do. So I work on latte art and enjoy wowing customers with the best I can produce every time. You're only as good as your last latte.

What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?

I would love to go to Atlanta, Portland, Chicago, or Los Angeles. Copenhagen, London, Costa Rica or any where that would have me.

    About Me:

My enthusiasm started when I worked for a roastery that had a killer green inventory. Their sales volume couldn't handle having a large staff so I didn't stay long, but I had an opportunity to talk with the roaster a lot and that changed my whole vision of coffee. From then on I read and tasted as much as I could. I have tasted a lot and developed a vocabulary of flavors and my goal is to hone my palate. I hope to open a shop of my own soon. In Buffalo there is a budding urban farm culture so I am hoping to be able to attract a lot of foodies to appreciate single origins and the concept of micro climates and the nuances of specialty coffee through consumer education.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

-That a common goal unites us, and the false snobbery has fallen away. We are a cohesive community seeking a quality product.
