Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Java Jive Coffee Factory aka Java Jive was established in 1976 by my father Michael. We are a small batch roaster supplying three of our own coffee shops on the University of Alberta Campus, as well, we sell whole bean packaged coffee to retail and wholesale customers at our Factory location.
About Me:
I recently began working for the family business two years ago. My first memories of coffee include picking beans up off the floor of our first store as a toddler but I didn't start drinking coffee until my early twenties. I want to continue the legacy my father has built and need to learn as much as I can, from him and all those who share a passion for coffee and its business.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
I love the smell of coffee roasting, being ground and brewed and I love sharing that with other people.
