Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I worked for years in various second wave shops in Australia, before moving to the US and getting work in my wife's home town. I haven't worked anywhere notable, although I have placed well in throwdowns and frequently attend cuppings at the Counter Culture roastery.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Anywhere; I want to move to a city that has an interesting, worthwhile coffee scene.
About Me:
I love coffee. I've got a bunch of other interests, and as with many people in specialty coffee, have obsessively pursued information about each of them, but coffee is the thing I keep coming back to. My biggest strength is latte art, my biggest weakness is in single-cup brewing. I'd kill for the opportunity to raise my brew knowledge in a practical setting, because there's only so much you can learn from reading blogs and making one or two cups a day at home in a chemex with a lousy kettle.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Everybody helps each other; the catty, backstabbing nature of a lot of other industries gets swept to the side by anybody with a modicum of talent in order to help each other out constantly.
