About Me:
Owner of Zocalo Coffeehouse.
About My Company:
Zocalo, www.zocalo.com, is a locally owned coffeehouse and roastery located in Northern San Leandro between Oakland and Hayward and within easy travel distance from Mills College, Chabot College, and Cal State East Bay.
We roast our own beans in house and are an artisan coffeehouse serving fair trade and organic beans and striving for a quality of espresso higher than you are likely to experience elsewhere. We are always trying to improve the quality of our products. Unlike Tully's, Starbucks, or Peets we are part of a real community. Zocalo hosts fundraisers, community meetings, and are currently holding a film series. As an in-house roastery we provide the opportunity to intern and possibly work as a roaster for the coffeehouse.
Zocalo was named California Small Business of the Year 2006 by Senator Liz Figueroa, Rookie Business of the Year in 2003 by the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce.
We are an Alameda County Green Certified Business.
