I work for The Coffee Oasis, its a non profit organization that uses the income to support the programs it does for the community. If you would like to know more check out www.thecoffeeoasis.com. As for me I came off the streets into the coffee industry. I started as a kitchen manager, which I did for about 3 years, in a coffee shop and worked my way into the bar. From there I started to roast, which I have been doing and have been involved with for about 7 years now. I have roasted on some pretty interesting machines but currently our company roasts with a diedrich IR12. From there i managed our drive thru for about 3 years before coming back to manage the main location. The Coffee oasis has 6 locations now and I am currently the Director of Coffee.
