i recently relocated to olympia from pittsburgh,pa where i worked as a barista trainer at tazza d'oro. Now i'm working at the Dancing Goats espresso bar in Olympia. i'm hoping to start expanding my skills beyond espresso and brewing, perhaps begin roasting in my spare time when i'm not behind the bar. i really like to push the envelope with coffee. i like to do experiments. nerd.

san francisco. portland,OR. western massachussetts area.,scandinavian countries, and northern europe.

i like to get stuff done! i like making food for friends when not at work, as well as bookmaking,printmaking, fiberarts, and listening to music and playing guitar. i can often be found geeking out in portland at heart coffee roasters, in oly at sizizi's ( for tea) , at caffe vita (for americanos) and oly coffee ( for capps)

i work for Batdorf & Bronson coffee roasters, which is a super-rad company that really strives to be as sustainable as possible. i love working for the company and hope to learn a great deal from my work experience here at a company that has been around for over 25 years.

What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?

everyone in specialty coffee seems to know one another. like some weird over-caffeinated, large, dysfunctional family.
