just developing my skills. Have been drinking espresso for 45 years, here and in Italy. I work on a Synesso two group, use Ecco Caffee, roasted in Santa Rosa. My cafe serves handmade gelato along with the coffee.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Ethiopia, Brazil and really anywhere else in the world whether it grows coffee or not!
About Me:
I may be the oldest female barista on this site! I am 56, got a tattoo of an espresso cup 40 years ago! Way before anyone had tattoos OR drank espresso in this country! I have an apartment in Italy but love the coffee I drink in the states more! Just learning barista skills...can make a great espresso, sweet latte, but do not know very much about the production, roasting, science etc. of coffee. Love attending the shows and competitions, being around people who are passionate about what they do.
About My Company:
My shop is relatively new, 2 1/2 years old. Started out as a gelateria serving the best gelato in the city, recently upgraded our coffee equipment and are now trying to serve some of the best espresso in the city too. We are in a village-like neighborhood in Studio City, regular customers, new one every day. Italian ambience in the cafe.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The passionate people, the skills involved, the cafe atmosphere
