Nicely done, Erik. If I can give you one piece of advice: never try to explain or justify your choices in workshop. Listen to the criticisms, take notes, and if you have an opportunity to talk, talk about your process and recognize specific comments that resonated with you, but never explain what you were trying to accomplish. And never re-write immediately after your story has been through workshop. Take good notes but wait at least one week to re-write. Ok, that's all I got.
