manager

Azusa, CA
How many years have you been in the industry?
3 years
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
maybe
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I run an on-campus coffee house at a small private Christian university in Southern California called Azusa Pacific University. We employ APU students exclusively so if a barista is interested in attending APU than we are interested in working with you.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Ireland, UK, South America etc.
About Me:
I graduated from APU a year and a half ago with a degree in film but stayed on campus to run Cornerstone Coffee House which I thought would be a good transition post college job. But it turns out I really like coffee and managing this shop. I also have a special place in my heart for Ireland. I've visited the Emerald Isle four times in my short life and love every minute. I cherish my faith in Jesus Christ and love to hear about others faith especially if it's not in Jesus. I love a good heated debate and laughing so much I cry. I love my family and friends, they hold a special place in my heart. I am a proud aunt of two beautiful nephews. I think that's all.
About My Company:
Cornerstone Coffee House is the first and largest coffee house on APU's East/Main campus. We are currently transitioning coffee vendors to Equal Exchange who were are excited to get to work with. We are intrigued with the work that EE does with farmers and co-ops, plus we love their chocolate. Our location near the Marshburn Library we undergo a significant renovation in July which will expand our area, giving us more inside seating and perhaps a performance space. We serve a very high percentage of APU students but also families touring the school, faculty, staff and visitors. We work together with Hillside Grounds, the coffee house on APU's West Campus to serve a student population close to 4000.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
There is always something new to learn.
