New barista in town

Over the last couple of days we have seen appr. 70-80 baristas try out for a full time barista position within our company.

I am completely exhausted but so happy we found an exceptionally talented and passionate young man who will be starting in our cafe on Tuesday and is ready to WOW :-)

Hey Eve, how'd you go with council letting you use the exhuast for the roaster? I ask, because I have had many headaches from the EPA up here in Toowoomba, making it nearly impossible to roast coffee. My ex-boss has invested thou$and$ in smoke treatment equipment. Id be interested to know your set-up, got any pics? My cafe is just up the road from Dave G's. Might pop down when the shop is in full swing.

What shops are you near. My Girlfriend used to live in West street, so James street was our local. Lots of potential there for the right espresso bar, there are too many average ones...
