my barista skills have a lot further to go. i do like making drinks but far from competing in any competitions, unless its latte art judged for best clouds.

French press drinkers only

Posted on November 16, 2008 at 7:40pm 8 Comments

Ok, maybe not only press drinkers can respond- but those of you out there that want to share some insight here. I am now ready to replace my house with a new french press (in moving always take the time to secure & wrap your delicacies) and don't know what to get. So here's my question- Is a double wall glass french press worth the extra $? Sure it'll keep the coffee hotter longer than a reg. beaker, but i don't typically keep my coffee lying around for two hours. So, worth it?

Missin you too brother. Sorry to hear about the competition, it's not an easy thing pouring brilliance in front of a live audience. I haven't cupped a coffee since I left AWC, which has been a sad thing. I've been drinking some of the stuff from the Roasterie that we're serving at nuVibe. The Guatemala Finca El Limonar has been really nice lately... brown sugar, lush mouthfeel, easy-drinker. Hope Vecino's has been treatin you guys well. Lindsay and I will be back sometime in May, so we will definitely be seeing you then.. unless you ditch town.. or unless you get in a tragic airplane accident, heaven forbid. Hope the wife and baby are well... make sure you read the books, you know, What to Expect When You're Expecting.. stuff like that. Good talk..
