Our Barista Jam and Throwdown got rescheduled for September 11th. I know it's short notice, but we'd love to see some LJ's representation as always! http://www.eventbrite.com/event/349377999
I've heard all about Lemonjellos. I remember trying to book my band there a few years ago. I'll have to stop by sometime and check the place out. I am running into the same problem that you did when you first started out. I was poorly trained at both shops I have worked at and I am knowledge hungry!! The second shop was rather slow and more of a tea/chocolate shop than a coffee shop. Anyways, any suggestions on what you found to be the most effective way of gaining coffee prep/history/ect. knowledge? I am currently living in Howell for a summer job but moving back to Kalamazoo for the next 3 years so I am hoping to find a good shop up there with some coffee experts. Thanks!
I think there should be some LJ's representation...
