I am wandering how many baristas out there are using Big train products or what you suggest as a better option?

No, but I hear it every once in a while from shop owners. I do know that Big Train is trying to move away from using those things, and is making their stuff healthier. Again, I am trying to be objective. I can only give you my thoughts on it from my perspective. There are lots of other choices out there. You need to find what's best for you in terms of cost, flavor, ease of creation and what your customers are expecting.

Thanks Jason for your input. Do you have people actualy asking about those ingredients or expressing those concerns and is that keeping them from buying? Or do they go Man those french fries are unhealthy /;/;/;/; oh yes and a order of french fries please!

Our company uses and sells Big Train, but I will be totally objective. People really like the Big Train powders, and especially the Chai. The thing I like about Big Train is how easy it is to make good blended drinks. The cons are that your cost of goods is higher, and they have been made with stuff people don't like to partake of, like trans fats, and hydrogenated oils. They do have a new Naturals line that doesn't have those things.

I use them for my frozen coffees and for my smoothies and have been very happy with the product and customer service. I have tried Dr. Smoothie and really like them as well, but already had big train in house. Both of these have terrific service in my opinion and are fully eager to send out free products for testing. DR. S does not have good frozen mixes (coffee) in my opinion (tried 2 and did not like at all). My customers LOVE my frozen drinks. Cool Capp makes some good products as well, but not sure if they have smoothies or not. I get sent free stuff all the time from BTrain, that I can turn around and sell for 100% profit. I also use some of Gardners Gourmet products, surprisingly good stuff, btw,, their Lemon xtreme is great by itself or mixed with some strawberry puree for a frozen strawberry/lemonade (they will send u samples as well). Only thing I don't like about some of these is the fructose corn syrup that some use, but most offer an alternative.
