I have often practiced just pouring water out of the pitcher to work on my flow consistency and make sure everything is even. If you pour into a sink from a distance, you can see your inconsistencies exaggerated, where you might not see them in a cup. Just a thought.

Imagine drawing a straight line from the handle of your pitcher to the point of the spout of your pitcher. Now imagine drawing a line through your cup from the handle to the other side, cutting the cup into two equal halves.

When you pour, be very aware of the two lines, and make them intersect at exactly 90 degrees. If the angle of your pitcher slants one way or the other, your design will begin to rotate in the cup.

How are you holding your cup? When you tilt it, make sure you're pouring into it top to bottom.
