Hi there - sounds like you do a little more around your shop than just show up once in awhile. Maybe your staff just doesn't appreciate your efforts when you are there. My ex-wife was like that, which I guess is why there's that 'ex' part in front of wife.
My bike club travels in Rockland a lot, so I'll be sure to stop by. Josh

Yep, barista, proprietor, bottle-washer, you name it. My place seats about 65 and we do a huge weekday lunch take-out business. Thanks for responding –– I was told you've retired from the day to day shop stuff.

I belong to a bike group and we tour around Rockland a lot. While traveling through Piermont last month, we've stopped at your shop -- great place. Josh Williams

Hey I'm not trying to be mysterious, just careful. I've received some peculiar emails from "coffee enthusiasts" and this is the internet, so you just never know who might be reading this. If you want my email address, just ask.

Yep, we had a great 3 day weekend. By end of day Monday, sales hit 5 digits. It's been about 3 months since that happened.

Howdy -- if you responded to my last message (from Sunday), I never received it.

PS: I contacted the cooking academy in NYC you recommended and got cc'd back on an email alerting this HUGE database of students of the opening in our shop. Thanks for the tip! Gotta get something from that kind of targeted exposure!

Congratulations on your banner day!! It's so gratifying when it all comes together and you just KICK BUTT all day long. We had a good Saturday but the rain Sunday will keep the cyclists away in the PM. Still, we went through 12 dozen muffins and a double bake of croissants, turnovers, bagels and rolls from our usual Saturday. I was up in OB at Seawanaka for the Jaime Boeckel regatta yesterday. Is "The Baykery" your shop? If so, we've been there.

Hi there; Did you have a busy weekend at your shop? We extended our hours (Sat until 11pm and Sun until 9pm) and added a few more events. Saturday was incredible -- we did exceeded our all time high sales numbers by almost 22%. So far, today looks as busy as yesterday was!

Actually I have great luck with bakers. I contacted the Culinary Academy of Long Island (www.culinaryacademy.edu) and the Natural Gourmet Institute (www.naturalgourmetschool.com) and talked to the career counseling/placement staff at both schools. I now have a stack of resumes, so I don't need to advertise.

My dad is in their Finance area. Eisen is my married name.
I love my shop too. For me, the time I spent working for Coca Cola was a great training field. Because of the internal politics, I never really enjoyed corporate-life, but while I was there I learned a lot about managing people, handling budgets, and working with customers.

It's a small world. WOW Pillsbury -- several former Pillsbury types were in my department at Coca Cola (I was a VP there). They left or were laid-off when Diageo bought it. My dad also was a VP at Pillsbury, made it through the brit days and when General Mills bought it, he was promoted. How long were you connected with Pillsbury?

Thanks for explaining the photo.
And yes I also attended SCAA. I usually learn something new and different that can be applied to my business every year, so I find it's worth the trip.

I was adding a comment on wi fi, when I noticed your picture. If that's a cheer-leaders outfit, I hope your team won (go coffeebeans yeah)! Julianne
