How 2 Make Money In The Coffee Industry

Posted on September 22, 2008 at 7:00pm 21 Comments

I figured, I would write my thoughts on making money in the coffee industry. I have worked for several coffee shops, I have also worked my own coffee concession. I roast beans by pan, yes it's work, but it's also fulfilling, however the question is am I making money? Well honestly I would have to say no, why because although I work for myself I'm glued to the bean, and with that I can't go out and enjoy the coffee scene the way I would like to. Now knowing what I want to do, it's a matter of… Continue

Normally what we advice roasters to do is contact the closest importer we know of around his area, because we could send samples, but then there is the issue of transportation and import. Let me know what your needs are and i´ll get back to you ...
Have a great day!

I dont have a lot of time today to spend here, but I'll come back when I do. My Mom is ill and I have to see to her now. Thanks for the comment and infro.....look up Marcie McCabe in Seatlle, she works at Victrola Coffee.

Batdorf and Bronson I have known for many years and Alfred Peet helped them when they first started, selecting and learning cupping and improving thier green coffee sales. Do you know them personally or just of them. Also where does your Ethiopian friends get thier coffee. My wife is Ethiopian and I have 2 businesses in Ethiopia. I am receiving the topped judged coffee in Ethiopia the end of this month.
So my question still is what coffee do you sell and what are all the sources. If this too much info to share with me I understand
