sorry i had no internet connection...
the barista trainings? now, there is about six different school which make barista trainings. before one year we had only two. the oldest one has operate for 5-6 years. it has modular system. you know: basic, then intermediate and additional levels seasonly.
the second one is mine has operate for 3 years. i'm working only with small groups (4person) and have just one modul which is including almost everithing from the basics of espresso making to make latte art and create signature beverages, maintenance, etc.... not just espresso technik - other breving methods also.
the new ones, i don't know how they do their job, yet. but i saw they are already on the stage :)
the roaster:
i don't know exactly what kind of brand i want.
i'd like to roast about 1kg batches. install an electrical one is better for me, but i know most of them working with gas. doesn't matter. i'd like to have not too expensive (used) modell, but a good one. yes i know, everyone likes that business! :)
my dream is a probatino... :)
thanks, for your help.
next year i try to visit you and your community. when will you held the polish barista chamionship?
cheers
mrk
most of the beans came from italy, the well known brands. my sorrow is that you can't find an artisan micro roaster, able to cupping quality origins. You know like in the u.s. and australia, or in u.k. and scandinavia. we have some, but these are price roasters!!
our barista community is not so strong at this time, everyone walk on own way. the individual barisatas are strong, but we shold become one...
the beans and our community is on the way, but i'm a little bit impatient. i'd like to buy a small shop roaster just now, and begin to learn roasting. if you have some tips plese let me know.
i met a polish barista in Seattle in 2005 and in 2006 in Berne. his name is Marcin Rus...... as I remember. hi is a nice guy. i think hi judgeing on barista competitions. do you know him?
now i have to go to work.
cheers
Making people happy with coffee is very very rewarding to me.
In Japan, good coffee shops are increasing little by little recentry and we have local barista network in Tokyo!
Pracuję w Filtrach na Starej Ochocie. Super atmosfera, super ludzie a przede wszystkim boska kawa. A Ty gdzie pracujesz?
