Startup company as acoffeehouse cafe. Vintage industrial decor designed by my wife. W are located on a major intersection with approximately 75000 vehicles per day drive by - we DO have a drive through. I have been studying coffee and practicing my barista skills for nearly 2 years while we are building the coffeehouse. Our main espresso machine is a new Victoria Arduino Adonis 3 group with a Mythos clima pro grinder and our secondary machine in the drive through is a reconditioned LaMarzocco GB5 3 group (number 77) with a Swift grinder. Looking forward to some great coffee times!
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Coastal cities and countries - avoid snow unless it is in the Swiss Alps!
About Me:
I work for 22 years as an award winning general manager for a Fortune 500 Global Food service contractor and was laid off. My wife of 35 years and I decided to put everything we have into this new venture.
About My Company:
We are on a mission to become the new icon in our community. The business that was in the builing we purchased had been there for over 25 years as an Italian restaurant - the owners closed down 2 years prior to our purchase. We gutted the builing (inside and out) and have rebuilt a very comfortable space for everyone. We have very strong community support and we are not even open yet!
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The specialty coffee industry is just now finally coming into it's own...the public is starting to realize that there are REAL differences in coffee beans and brewing methods. And, more and more peole are wanting to incorporate the coffee experience into their lives.
