Air is best for small batch roasting. Like roasting to order for the retail customer. I also find that because of the small batch up to 3lbs. seems to be more consistent of a roast.

Only negative is that you can not hear the crack. you must be always monitoring the final product and adjust temps as needed

Hi,
I was just curious to what kind of air roaster you guys use? Also, what do you think are some of the benefits of air roasting vs. drum roasting?

Thanks,
Garrett

Even factoring in the 2 1/2 hour drive I might still be willing to fill in for you here and there if you can give me more than a weeks notice.

Aside from the 2 1/2 hour drive, I wouldn't mind filling in for you. It might be worth it to test your claim to some of the best spro around.
