About Me:
I'm a long-time coffee enthusiast who has always dreamed of owning a coffee shop. I'm currently in the process of learning the business side of my dream, and I'm lovin' it so far! I graduated college in 1981 with a degree in Art Education, which lead me (strangely enough) to be the Manager of a Graphics and Configuration group (engineering, basically) for Dresser Industries. I've actually been "retired" for the past 7 years, but now it's time to persue my dream. I'm excited but somewhat scared about this adventure!
About My Company:
I'm planning to open my shop in July/August 2008. I live on the Eastern Shore where the only other coffee shop is Starbucks, which is on the other side of town. My location is about 1/4 mile from our local university and area businesses are all around, so I'm hoping to have a broad audience who is eager to see the true art of coffee. My shop will be upscale, complete with fireplace, Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, etc. I plan to have an organic feel to it, to support the types of coffee and products I will be serving.

Hey! It’s Mike from SelbySoft. We are one of the sponsors of the American Barista Coffee School as well as baristaexchange.com. As you may be opening a coffee shop in the near future, I would love the opportunity to speak with you regarding Point of Sale and the enormous benefits it will bring to your company. Drop me a comment or feel free to call with any questions!
