- Second Wave Coffee & Books is owned and operated by The Arc of the Midlands, a nonprofit disability agency. We employ and train people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an all-inclusive environment where people with and without disabilities work together. Our mission is to provide full community life for individuals with lifelong disabilities -- one person at a time. Our coffee shop uses locally roasted coffee beans here in SC.
