Hey! Just wanted to say Hi. :) Things are going well, it's definitely picking up... little by little. The campus schedule has a big affect on things, our biggest morning rush is before the 11 a.m. classes. Quite the adrenaline flow goin' there... I really love it! Gettin' pretty good with the latte art, but I have a long way to go still. I'm feeling pretty confident about my abilities, and I've had a couple people tell me my cappucinos are worth pictures. :) I hear frequently that my drinks are the best people have ever had, which is an amazing self-confidence booster. Every day is a new challenge to learn something and someone new. Plus, I have the most amazing schedule that works fabulously with my life... what more can a Barista ask for?? :)

Shiloh, hey I just wanted to say thank you so much for being so patient with me about training. I apologize if I seemed pushy. I worked with Kendra today and it was amazing. Hope to see you soon and have a great day.

You're right we are staying at the Grand Hyatt. I arrive Thursday, how about you? A little about me since we are going to be roomies: I like awesomely bad TV and will leave a trail of San Pelligrino bottles in my wake. Looking forward to meeting you, see you in a few days!

Well I ended up helping out and closing Saturday night (my day off) cuz Leslie at 168th e-mailed in and quit that morning. So I also worked Sunday (went well) and today. There was a scheduling issue today and only 1 barista was on for 12-5, so I volunteered to stay and pull a double, then Kyla called Brenna in at 3 so I only worked 9.3 hours. I started last Tuesday and with the 2 shifts I picked up that makes 11 days straight with a double shift in the middle. Holy Spimoni! But, I volunteered for all of it, so I'm really not complaining. I am glad for the experience so soon. Plus, now 5 days in a row with the weekend off will feel like a piece of cake! Right?!? And come Friday I should have it all down pat. Oh! And today I made a dry Cappuccino for a guy who said Starbucks always gives him Lattes and he hates it. I did it perfect and he LOVED it-- My first try!!! :-)

I told Brad that I could work anytime any of the days! Thank you for letting me be a part of coffee fest...cant wait to see you there!

Thanks! Today went fabulously. Kyla already gave me a key and I'm opening tomorrow without them. :) I'd say that's a great sign. Me, Julia, and Caitlin are a rockin' team. Shots today were good too and I did that Clover Leaf thing in Latte Art! I showed it around the store, haha, I was so stinkin' proud it looked like something distinguishable. Couldn't repeat it again, tho, lol. But Casey was impressed. So, every day gets better!
