- Bisogno Espresso Bar is my homage to my Italian experience of living in Firenze, Italy. I subscribe to the Italian notion that espresso should never be bitter.

- About Me:
- I am going to be 48 years old in April. I have excellent communication skills. I have two great teachers in my life -- my two sons, Dante and Micah (5 and 2 years). I have traveled extensively in the last ten years and understand that the way to learn about people is by being in their environment. I know that change is the only constant in life. This makes me a good barista.
- About My Company:
- Bisogno Espresso Bar is a "mom and pop" operation. We keep it very simple. It is all about the coffee and how we interact with our regulars. We have only been in business six months and already we are the talk of the neighbourhood. We are determined to bring coffee drinking the non "fast food" way to our customers. I know most of the names of our regulars and how they take their coffee. We also know that humility is our greatest ally in our success.

a mistaken identity?

i don't think we speak of the same espresso bar. the one i visited is located on hamilton street. i didn't see a "fake roaster" and the few times i've visited (on different times of the day) there was no sixteen year old behind the counter. i was just there this morning and the barista pulled me one of the best 49th parallel i've ever tasted. the finish lingered for quite a while and it really made my day -- i even mentioned it to the crew with whom i was working. again, i… Continue

Cafe Mozart did not dissapoint. I tasted a very smooth cup of java indeed. The notes were very subtle with a distinct nuttiness to it. the vibe at Cafe Mozart is devine. we sat under tree shaded patio. the building itself is very understated but with great character. the service was very friendly and laid back.

specifically, i'm in gordon's bay/strand area, which is east of cape town (about 40 minutes). most of the cafes don't know a thing about proper espresso. they leave the portafilter sitting on the counter, for crying out loud! i can understand why a starbucks would do well in places like this. for the love of pete! it doesn't take much to give care in making good coffee! pleeeease! can somebody help… Continue

IT'S RONALD SANDOVAL! OH GOD IT'S REALLY RONALD SANDOVAL!!!
My name is Saad. I'm from Pakistan. I recently started watching your show "Earth: Final Conflict" and God, is it amazing or what! Became HUGE (Caps for emphasis) fan of yours immediately after season 1. Frankly I think that you, sir, dominate the show. Not belittling the great work of Mr. Kevin, Ms. Leni, Ms. Anita, Mr. David, but your portrayal of Ronald Sandoval was absolutely magnificent! I remember a scene from the episode "Fissures", the part where you propose Zo'or that you will captain the mothership. That, I daresay, was the climax of the whole season 2!
I have a few questions for you. What was it like playing "Ronald Sandoval"? What are your thoughts about the character and whether he resembles you in some aspects in real life. Did you choose to play this character? If not, who do you think you could've played the best? Which taelon do you personally like, personality-wise?
I have a lot of other question, which I will ask as soon as I get the assurance that this account of yours isn't abandoned.

I am not even a inch ahead, Von. I feel so behind and at the bottom of everything. I still have soooooo much to learn, and want to experience so many things about coffee. And honestly, I think that you are more experienced and know a lot better than I do.
