Profile Information

What is your position in the coffee industry?
barista
Where are you located? ( City and Country )
Moscow, USA
How many years have you been in the industry?
8
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I got my first job after I graduated from high school at a local franchised cafe in Boise, ID. My friend's mom ran the place and needed some girls so a job was a guarentee. I didn't know anything about anything in the coffee world. That was 8 years ago, and here I am at an amazing indy shop in Idaho with my certification and no plans to stop slinging shots.

I am a crazed perfectionist and carry that over to my barista skills. I like 23-25 sec pulls and drool over the smell of the first restretto shots firs thing in the morning. NOM-NOM-NOM!

The shop i work in is called One World Cafe in Moscow ID. It is a small town & we are one of the 3 main cafes in town. The majority of our customer base is the college-student/professor (since we are in a college town). One could almost say we are the 'hipster cafe', but whatever...I personally think that is a stupid label (put on us by one of the students in the University's paper).
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
I'm interested in going to a lot of different countries that either produce coffee beans or make awesome drinks
About Me:
I am a dance major at the University of Idaho (total ballet girl) but will be moving to Seattle to finish my degree this May. I hope to graduate in either December of 2011 or May of 2012 *fingers crossed* I also love to sew (esp costumes) and am slowly starting an Etsy business of making teddy bears. Yeah, they are really cute and cuddly, and will hopefully help me to make a little bit of $$ on the side.

I am recently engaged to my boyfriend of 8 years and we plan to take the 'nups on October 11, 2012 (10-11-12 *hehehe*) after I plan on graduating in a big ol' Steampunk shindig.

Until then, we are living in Moscow with our dog, 2 cats, bird, and 3 degus (gerbil-like rodents). Yeah, I love living in a zoo.
