Not sure why you consider the Major Straight Overkill (per auction) for shot testing. Quality of grind counts whether pulling one or a hundred shots IMO. I can always use another Major but not at your price. Willing to trade you a used Super Jolly, with new burrs, plus $100 and I pay shipping for both. (~another $100) I would remove the PF fork from the SJ to put on the Major since it's missing in the picture, also keep the doser lid which is also missing from the Major (at least not pictured).

I do have the lid and fork (I removed it because I hated it so). I am currently using a baratza vario which I feel has great control or I would have more than likely taken that trade!

Cool, most all reports of the new Baratza Vario very favorable for grind quality, timed dosing accuracy and especially very little grinds retention. Only question in many people's mind is will the little sucker still be running 5 years from now :)

 

Highly suggest you put the PF fork back on and put the lid on the doser and take a new picture for you auction. Items normally sold as pictured unless stated otherwise in the auction which was not. While you may hate the PF forks many use them during PF dosing for downward taps, number of taps to determine build dosing.
