As I am not a barista, it would be good to get a idea of what size cup is best for the industry, currently there are
8oz / 250ml uses 80mm lid
10oz / 350ml uses 85mm lid
12oz / 400ml uses 90ml lid
16oz / 450ml uses 90ml lid
20oz / 600ml uses 90ml lid
I get confused, as if there is 1 shot in 8oz, and 2 shots in 12oz, this would produce a different flavour drink.
So should there be different size cups, to produce a better tasting coffee.
Lid size is important, as indications are that baristas do not want lots of different lids, but if there is one size that fits several sizes it can make the shape of the cups look a bit odd.
If anyone has any thoughts of what the ideal hot drink paper cup should be, I would be grateful to know.

I've been having trouble finding 6oz cups for caps, and when I see them...i'm confused on how on earth they found them, unless they are custom.
Where can I get them?
6oz cups are not a problem, it is the lid, as there are typcally no lids for 6oz cups.
What other size cup would you want to use with your 6oz cup.
What lid would you need for your 6oz cup?

Hi Jason, Many bthanks for your comments, using 12,16 and 20 obviosly helps speed production, as one lid fits all three sizes. 4oz is not normally sold with a lid, but is this large enough for a double esspresso? if not what would you server that in,/ is there a demand for double esspresso?
we do have a 10oz cup that has same lid fit as a 10oz cup, do you think there would be a demand? we currently do not carry this as a stock line, but could do if there was a demand.
