Hello Everyone, I'd like to invite anyone who wants to join this discussion group about Guatemalan Coffee. It might be of very good use to learn who is producing, buying, roasting, distributing and drinking Guatemalan Coffee; compare our experiences and share our knowledge about the greatness of the coffee produced in this origin.

First thank you for accepting my membership in this group.  I love Guatemalan coffee.

Last month I took some young people on a mission trip to Guatemala (as I have been doing every year for the last seven years).  We went to some village churches and held services for them, we went to a feeding center and played with the children and brought toys to them.  This year we also wanted to work at a Fica there.  We have a great relationship with the owner of Alotepeque CHIQUIMULA, Concepción Las Minas.  We had the young people help prune the trees there, we worked two days on the Finca and stayed one night at the Mill there.  It was a great experience for the team that went.

I love Guatemala, its people, culture and its coffee.

Hello John!

Thanks for commenting on this. Its great to hear stories about close relationship between the industry and local farms. By the way that is an amazing coffee that grows in that side of the range in Alotepeque.

Hope you continue to enjoy it, you're welcomed at my place any time if you're ever around Guatemala City.
