so i was really curious what this whole Chika Latte thing was and just had to go to a window at one and see what hot baristas in slutty clothes looked like....when i got to the window the 16yr old who was sitting on a stool reading Pole Dancers Monthly, looked at me confused that i wasn't a sexually frustrated 50+white male and before i could ask my excuse for looking in question: "what kind of coffee do you guys serve" i was almost speechless by the size and darkness of her mustache and the awful outfit this poor girl was forced to wear. A belly t-shirt with Chika Latte on the front, a tooo mini mini jean skirt with a red leather belt and fish nets with gogo boots. and all i could think was, how do you work in that and get away with the health department!? what if you scald your belly with hot milk??? oh wait...i guess it's not really about the coffee is it....

if you are ever having a bad day, or feeling sorry for yourself, just stop by one of their coffee stands and have a look inside...you won't be able to hold off the giggles for days!

Wow, I checked the website... and they get a 'generous uniform allowance' for picking their own outfit. Look at the choice:

Chicka latte uniforms

I really can't imaging why anyone would like to work there, and why someone would actually go to this place for coffee ???!??!?!?!?
I know! I really feel bad for those girls...maybe it's the start into stripperhood!? whatever it is, these girls must have some LOW self-esteem.

My biggest problem isn't that their almost nude, I guess that's their freedom of expression- its that there really is no warning before you get to the window that you are about to be served by a skimply clothed women. The local news, took the liberty of hitting hard on "the issues" over war and politics and told a story of a women who pulled up to a bikini espresso place and had to explain to her daughter why the women making the beverage was wearing stickers on her ta ta's instead of a shirt. I am a huge fan of our freedoms, not that they should always be taken advantage of but if you do something that could be this far from the norm a little warning would be considerate?
Then when you are about to depart with your "scalded milk , whose foam is more the consistency of Mr.Bubbles bath soap...espresso that had gone bad before roasting.." turn to her...and say "Thanks a-latte'
Even if she doesn't understand the pun...it could make it that more humorous.
Oh dear christ on a bike and disciples in a minivan.....
Only in America. Please, god, only in America??

The one advantage of wearing PVC to work in a coffee shop is that it is, of course, wipe clean.
seriously?
they wear those outfits?
that's what i wear when i work at spirit halloween, not when i'm at my coffeehouse.
holy jeebus.
and the injuries i'm sure i'd get!

not to mention, that takes the challenge clean out of flirting with customers for tips.
not playing fair, ladies.
hahah we have something like that over near Boston. They don't dress as slutty, but they all where tight blue jeans and Hot pink shirts. It's called Marylou's, and it's the worst coffee i have ever tasted. They also lack knowledge about their job.
I absolutely agree with the notion there should be more attention payed to where and how these places operate. But I do have to disagree with the low self-esteem assessment; it's more likely to be money-centric than anything else.
