I worked on the prototypes back in the early '90s. The use of Parker solenoid coils must have come after American Cappuccino sold out to Grindmaster.

Back in the day, we used PeterPaul solenoid valves:

You might want to try stretching the spring that puts tension on the cylinder that rests against the seat of the valve body.

I contacted Parker and found that the pump I have has been obsoleted. So it looks like I will try to 'stretch' or replace the spring.
Parker tells me that the valve I have is custom. Are espresso machine valves typically custom or should I be able to get some off the shelf valve that is close to what I have?



This is the respose from Parker:

Unfortunately, the very special, modified, Skinner brand solenoid valve assembly C3Q660 (UY) - 120/60 was obsoleted without replacement in 2004 because of no sales activity since 2000.

A catalog page or specification sheet for this special modified valve were
not created and are not available today.

The factory did not create a repair kit for this special modified valve and
none is available today.

The Fluid Control Division does not offer a similar product today and could
only suggest that you go back to the manufacturer of your equipment that
the valve is installed in for their replacement solenoid valve
recommendation.

This will do fine:

You'll need to order it with the coil at the same voltage and make sure the female threads on the valve are 1/4 inch so you can easily transfer the fittings off the old valve.

And yes, there are further 'off the shelf' options...!

This valve looks like it would fit! Where did you find it? Do you have a part#??

STOP!!! dont get the valve....just buy a rebuild thats just the plunger inside of it. im guessing thats a brew or in some semi auto machines i've seen 3-way valves as a vac breaker(saftey valve)

looks exactly like a bunn fill valve except a 3-way(bunn fills are 2) and its fo sho a parker

you may just have particles in it but you need a spanner nut tool to open the valve if you take the coil off and measure something i'll tell you if i have the tool to fit and i have plenty of them so you could just have it (they come with the rebuild kits) if you cant find it just go through grind master

Bill, I've been told by Parker that this was a custom valve and there is not rebuild kit available. I could get some measurements off the 'plunger' part if that would help in finding matching kit.

i have yet to find a non rebuildable parker and im extremely surprised. but i'd say you gota go to grindmaster.
