Home Espresso Machine - Francis Francis or Starbucks Barista?

I am new to the industry and really don't know that much about espresso machines in general let alone home espresso machines. I have to picked out two that I like, the Francis Francis x5 and the Starbucks Barista (complete opposite machines in my opinion). I have read all the reviews and have found both for decent prices. Although the Francis Francis would be my first pick, I am just afraid that it would be to complicated and advanced for me. I don't want to get over my head here. What are your opinions?

Also I could really use some recommendations for other espresso machines, grinders, cleaning tips, etc....

You might benefit from calling David or Brian at Espresso Parts. They have a lot of great home machines and grinders and may be able to work a package deal for you. 1(800)459-5594
You could also check out the sites Coffeegeek.com and Home-Barista.com for a wider selection on machines as well as great and in depth reviews. But like Matt said, nothing beats talking to a real person about exactly what you're looking for.
Thank you Matt. As always I will recommend the Rancilio Siliva. Awesome home machine and currently should be around the same price as what you are looking at. May be a little on the advanced side but would be worth taking the time to learn how to use it properly. Plus the techniques you will learn on this machine will transfer over to much more advanced and even commercial machines. This may help depending on where you are going down the road. Good luck with your espresso quest and let us know how we may guide you. Brian at Espressoparts.com
For the price, the Rancilio Silvia is my champ as well. It's well built, and definately capable of creating top notch espresso drinks. I've had a Barista and couldn't recommend it -- the poor shot extraction drove me nuts.
Home espresso machines make both espresso and espresso-based drinks such as cappuccino or latte. The best espresso machine is the semi automatic model. But it is a bit expensive one should decide which machine is the best suitable.
I would Choose a Rancilio Silvia and a Rocky Grinder. Plus it cost less than The Francis Francis and a Cheap Grinder. If your looking for tips check out the Belissimo Web Site.
