Hi Hans,

I think a good choice for you would be an Astoria Argenta Semi-Auto (AEP). Very simple design, good reliability, and easy to repair. This depends on the availability of these machines and their parts in your area, of course.

Brady has a good nose for these things...and he is not wrong in this instance either. CMA (who makes Astoria as well as Wega and San Marino) made their name supplying the North African market- Morocco, Algeria,Tunisia in the late 1960's and the 1970's. Many of those machines are still in use today- I reckon that is a good sign that the machines are durable and easy to keep running. We sell the San Marino here in Indonesia- which is also a very tough working environment. You should contact the sales people at CMA directly. Brady said:

That's awesome that you are thinking of opening a coffee shop. Congrats. I understand you as far as loving coffee and being a home Batista. I'm there too. I was thinking of opening a coffee shop but up here I alaska there is a coffee stand at each corner! The competition is high. But I was also asking myself wether it be worth it opening a shop because I love to make the coffee and I'm afraid that if I own a shop I won't be in front of the machine most of the time. Am I corrcect? Thanks for your help and advice. ;)
