Yeah, people have for sure, I have, others have.

Do a quick search on the site, there have been a few threads on this in the past couple weeks.

I know for me, we brewed a press of Yirg then used the coffee from that press instead of hot water for a press of Darjeeling. It tasted like weed. Straight up weed. We called it CannaBliss and, being that it was a student heavy shop, we sold out of 4 POUNDS OF TEA in like 7 hours.

Why not? You blend tea with every other spice/herb on earth,... why not coffee? I'm up for trying it. If anyone comes up with a good or even interesting blend, let me know!

Concerns: Steep times and temps. Would it not make more sense to post blend,... as in after properly steeping the tea and coffee. That's what my geek brain says. My curious brain says, "Never know until you've tried."

I've thought about that, and I think that using a french press is the way to go.

Use a black tea at 212F, and assuming that the temp will drop, if you grind for a 2min. extraction, the temp should sync quite nicely for the coffee. So start with the black tea. After 3 min, add the coffee, gently agitate to saturate, and time for 2 min.

I might also try a 2nd steep of a darker oolong, but run the coffee and tea at the exact same dwell time. (start and stop together)

I love tea. I drink a lot of it. (pouchong oolong 50/50 self-blend this evening)

This, however, seems a little odd. Another thing I wonder about is if some extracted components may interfere with the water's ability to extract from the other medium.
