Hi..... I need help with the oz. measurements for french press coffee. I have a 51oz. french press. How many grams of coffee do I put in? And also for 1 cup... what is the correct oz and how many grams? Thanks! :)

I usually go by ~ 7.25g per 125-150 ml so

Approx 72-75g for 51 oz... maybe 70-72g since you really can't fill it all the way.

A "cup" of coffee (in US standards) is 6 oz, but realistically it depends on what size cup you have and then dose accordingly.
check out the brew methods link i put up on the main page. the links there will give you an excellent starting ground from which to experiment for your tastes.
ooo -- sounds tasty.

We use 81.6gr. in those presses.
I usually stick with 60 g/liter ratio for french press with good results for almost every coffee. That would mean about 89 grams if you were actually using 50 oz. of water.
My starting ratio rule of thumb is 8g per 5oz water all brewing methods except espresso, then adjust to taste.
My personal taste preference for press is 1.75 grams per ounce.

... usually.
