What is your position in the coffee industry?
coffee roaster, coffee enthusiast, industry professional, supplier
Where are you located? ( City and Country )
Portland, Oregon
How many years have you been in the industry?
11
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
no
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
We have a great array of blogs and video from around the world - from anything about coffee production and quality to video from the specific farms we buy from. Our farmers in India and Papua New Guinea blog on our website and our employee in Colombia writes weekly about our Farm Friendly Direct programs.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
All over, but we have specific farmers we work with and travel to in Papua New Guinea, Peru, India, El Salvador, Guatemala, Tanzania. Ethiopia and Costa Rica. We have customers in Japan and will be traveling to Uganda and Sumatra in 08.
About Me:
Our way of doing business is built on integrity and trust and the belief that everyone will win if they are given and receive their fair share. Farm Friendly Direct™ mirrors our sustainability philosophy as well – for us it simply means being guided by a set of values that affects every decision we make with regard to our customers, farmers, products and employees.
About My Company:
As one of the Rose City’s original micro-roasters, we have stayed true to our values -- giving back to the farming community while actively seeking out ways to do better -- on all fronts. Whether its traveling to find a farmer with whom we can create a longstanding business arrangement or looking for more efficient forms of transport or purchasing a more eco-friendly cup, we are proud to be looked to as a leader and innovator in the Portland coffee community.

We consider it our mission to search out not only great coffee but beans that are grown by farmers who are committed to stewardship of the land. This goes hand in hand with deepening our longstanding commitment to sustainability with our very own Farm Friendly Direct™ Program.
