I'm finally getting a chance to visit the other coast.  Headed to Washington next week for some training, and have built in two evenings plus a full Saturday to see a bit of Seattle.  This creates something of a dilemma for me though - so many cafes, so little time.

Help me, bX!

My short list right now for cafes includes:
Caffe Vita
Victrola
Herkimer
Zoka
Espresso Vivace
Trabant
Stumptown

I'd also like to hit a good taproom or two while there... and plan to do a little walking around.

My questions for you all are:
1. Many of these have several locations.  For those that do, which location do I pick?  My inclination is usually to go for the original, but...
2. Which of these have great beer, a good evening vibe, maybe some good music as well?  My Seattle evenings are Tuesday and Friday, if that makes a difference.
3. Who have I missed that you'd put on a "must-see" list?

Thanks in advance for your help with this.

When are you in town? I'd love to have a cup or a pint. You should also check out our cafe, Fonte Cafe and Wine Bar, it's 3 blocks south of Pike Place Market on First. Right next to The Lusty Lady (A Seattle landmark, you can't miss it.)

Are you doing the La Marzocco training?
The Capitol Hill versions of most of these places is going to be the 'original' more often than not, and it's a pretty nice place to hang out in anyway. Coffee, hippie grocery, parks, etc.
I always suggest (if you're downtown) a stop in at 'Monorail'. The coffee is good, not exceptional, but the whole place is just, well, kitschie-cool.
Chris, thanks for the tips... sounds like Capitol Hill is the place. Planning on spending some time there.

Mike, I'm headed up to Ferndale for Nuova Simonelli. Getting in tomorrow late afternoon, then headed up there Wednesday morning. I'll be back down on Friday, then have all day Saturday to kick around. I'd love to grab a pint... give me a call.

Thanks, guys.
