Kinda depends on what you want. We're a small shop so a manuel impulse sealer does a great job of us. We got a brand new one through Pack Co Inc. (http://www.packcoinc.com/) Shipping was fast and rather cheap. I'm sure that they have others.
Phil,
That's a good link from Eric. On this site he gave you I found the one we are using. Here is the link.

Hi Phil. I have a used one here. What size of sealer are you looking for?
Hi Mel,

Looking for something that can handle up to a 5 lb foil gusseted bag. I was looking at 12" models.

I'd suggest a 12" with foot pedal for a 5lb. bag. If you're interested in a smaller 8" sealer, feel free to be in touch at customerservice@beato.ca. Thanks!

I have a clothes iron at home if you want to buy it. Works great. Gently used. :)
I agree, a great oneze twoze or between a rock a and a hard place. No for shops like mine. Sadly.
I've heard that hair irons can work just as good as bag sealers. Does anyone have experience with this? It seems too good to be true...

yes - I've used a Revlon ceramic version for over a year for light use. Heats up fast and very portable. They make one that is a little longer and about an inch wide - works great for less than $10. Not good for commerical use. I like the one Eric noted for smaller commerical use.
