This is great stuff Matt! Arlini and I have a busy year but we are reaaaal hopeful we are going to make it over this year. If we do, we will have to take advantage of one of the ABC's offers for BX members!

I highly recommend ABCs my husband and I are grads (Oct 2006). It may seem like it's been a long time and we are not yet open but that is because we had an extensive renovation and they taught us to make sure we 'had our ducks in a row' before we open. We learned that it is imperative to have a business plan to cover everything one must know and understand before opening. That the lack of planning and understanding of what your getting into is the death of many a business in this industry.
I can't wait to get my Selby Soft system in, Mike Spence has been amazing to work with!

(If only I could have retained what I studied in 4 years of Philosophy in college) :) Good luck with your opening.

Have you seen the progress on our facebook page?
Tons of photos to fly through. I still need to upload the latest. The trim carpenter is done with the Craftsman panel look and is starting the coffered ceiling beams. We've had some frustrating times and issues with lack of communication that have cost us extra... I will choose my contractor more wisely next time (if there is one).
We've had some hard workers though and because I've been hands on they all understand the dream and passion and are excited to be a part of it all.
We have an amazing restaurant consultant who just happens to be my neighbor and with help on the specialty coffee side I think we are going to make it. Ed taught us to know your weaknesses and find someone to strengthen and complement you... It may cost me some extra now but it will more then pay for it's self in the long run... and we are defiantly in to for the long run!
