I'm buying some incredible products from my broker. Some ar organic, but I can't afford to jump full force on that band wagon since there are so many fees and hoops to jump through. Fair Trade certification seems the same way. I want to be sustainable. I know there are lots of opinions here that are pretty different from each other here concerning third party certifications, but I'd like any LEGIT information I can get.

I have 2 origins now that aren't organic or fair trade, but I buy them directly from the farmers that import their coffee from their FAMILY owned farms. The quality is amazing and I'd love to do that with all of my coffees. Both are Latin America, and Im not sure where to go to look for the same kind of guys from Asia/Africa/Indonesia that I can trust for the same quality. Maybe that's a new part of this game that I havent explored. It seems super risky financially being that the crop might be horrid and I'm stuck with a bag of yuck.

Anyone have any suggestions, ideas or opinions about the most sustainable and efficient way to get a great stock for a tiny roasting company starting out?
