Do espresso machines interfere with radio waves?
For three years now when ever our pump for our espresso machine turns on, the radio get some kind of interference and gets static. We have a Nuova Simonelli now, and had an La Marzocco a couple of years ago, it was much worse with the La Marzocco.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a quick fix? The radio is in a utility room about 20 feet from the espresso machine. It would be a pain to move it to another part of the shop.

Yes. Electronic motors do create radio waves. Usually DC power motors are worse than AC though.

Usually this is caused by a problem with the ground-wire. It is quite possible that someone with basic electrical knowledge could check your outlets and see if they are properly grounded. Also trying using a powerstrip for the radio or plugging it into a different socket.
