We're a small, newly-opened coffee roastery that so far has only been partner-staffed. One of our partners just got a new job (great for him, tough for us) so we're at the point where we'll need to hire a barista part-time. Folks who have done this already, any guidance on how to approach this? We're a no-tip establishment (tips go to charity) so we recognize we'll need to adjust salary for an employee accordingly. Since we are small, we wouldn't be looking for a "rock star" barista, just someone who would want to work about 20-30 hours a week and could work solo. Apart from the jobs board here, and local networking, are there other places to find quality people?
