O.K. well I could have titled it (screw missing)... people been tellin' me that all my life... but then, I would not have gotten your attention.

The attached photo is from a La Marcozza and I posted a thread about my problem here:

http://www.baristaexchange.com/forum/topics/problem-with-la-marzocc...

Replaced the breaker(thanks to espressoparts.com) ... which is still popping ... then noticed on the older style thermostat that the small adjustment screw is completely missing...

Anybody have any idea what size screw I should be putting in there?

Thanks

Three variables:
1 Coarse thread vs. Fine thread
2 Standard vs. Metric
3 Diameter

A quick trip to a good hardware store should yield a bunch of screws for a couple of dollars (most are less than $.25 at my local hardware store). 10 minutes of trial and error - Don't force anything, as you don't want to strip the threads) should reveal the winner. The rest go into the "miscellaneous" hardware box that NEVER has what you are looking for.

That is not your thermostat, your thermostat looks like this:
http://www.espressoparts.com/MZ_260
It is located on your boiler in the following diagram as part MZ.260

What you have pictured is a solenoid valve,

Even though they have a threaded opening, they don't serve a purpose in this application.

Let us know what you find...
Crap, I need to go look at this machine. They sent me an iPhone photo... and ja mon... 'it is the wrong part'... off I go... thanks Wes...learning curve for me... no local technicians available...
